Senior Cybersecurity Engineer at Evergreen Nephrology

The role

We are seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a senior-level position where you will serve as the primary custodian of our critical assets and information systems. You will work closely with our leadership to shape our security strategy, protect our cloud infrastructure, and mentor junior team members in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Core responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and maintain comprehensive security solutions for our Azure and Office 365 environments while ensuring strict compliance with HIPAA and HITRUST standards.
• Lead the strategy and configuration for Zscaler Internet Access and Zscaler Private Access solutions to ensure secure connectivity across our organization.
• Monitor our cloud environments for potential threats and vulnerabilities, taking a proactive role in incident response, triage, and remediation to protect our sensitive data.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong technical foundation and a collaborative spirit. We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity.
• Expertise in Azure, Office 365, and Zscaler technologies.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CCSP.
• Proven ability to manage incident response, vulnerability scanning, and data loss prevention strategies.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex security strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A high degree of adaptability and the ability to thrive in a remote, startup-style environment.

Compensation and benefits
