Senior Configuration Manager - Remote (WFH) at Cognitive Medical Systems

Are you ready to bring structure and clarity to mission-critical systems that support the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs? We are looking for a Senior Configuration Manager to join our team and help keep the Space Management Support System running smoothly for the VA’s Acquisition and Property Management portfolio.

What you bring

We need a seasoned professional who can guide configuration management activities for a government construction and facilities budget system. You will work full time on-site in the United States, supporting two web applications-one built on ArcGIS Enterprise and the other on the Microsoft .NET Framework. Your day-to-day work will include maintaining the project backlog in Jira, serving as Scrum Master when needed, and creating configuration management plans that align with VA standards. You will also build dashboards in Jira and ServiceNow, keep version control consistent across development, test, staging, and production environments, and support the Authority to Operate process. Three key responsibilities stand out: performing full software development life cycle configuration management, ensuring all application versions stay compliant with the VA Technical Reference Model, and tracking production releases from planning through deployment. This role is located in the United States.

Requirements

You should bring solid experience with Jira, ServiceNow, ArcGIS, Configuration Manager, and the .NET Framework, along with a proven ability to lead Agile teams and develop technical solutions. Strong organizational skills, clear written and verbal communication in English, and the capacity to coordinate across multiple groups are essential. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, engineering management, mathematics, or a related field plus five years of relevant experience-or eight years of direct experience in place of the degree-is required. You must also be able to obtain a VA Position of Public Trust with a Medium Background Investigation.
