Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at Circadia Health

Our platform leverages advanced artificial intelligence to provide early detection for critical medical events, including pneumonia, sepsis, falls, and congestive heart failure. We currently monitor over 20,000 lives daily, and with plans to scale our impact to over 100,000 patients in the coming years, we are looking for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in the United Kingdom. This is an on-site, full-time role where you will play a vital part in maintaining the reliability of our mission-critical architecture and managing the world's largest biobank of continuous vital signs data.

Key outcomes

• Design, deploy, and manage robust AWS infrastructure solutions that support our expansive suite of healthcare applications.
• Build and maintain scalable systems capable of processing and storing petabytes of sensitive medical data.
• Optimize database performance and cost-efficiency for systems including MySQL and MongoDB.
• Oversee compute clusters using ECS and utilize Terraform to manage our cloud environment effectively.
• Ensure the highest standards of security by managing access credentials, permissions, and roles.
• Maintain system health through instrumentation using Prometheus and Grafana, while developing actionable runbooks for incident response.
• Support our DevOps culture by automating routine tasks and managing CI/CD pipelines for our backend, Android, iOS, and React applications.
• Produce thorough documentation that meets the rigorous standards required for a Software as a Medical Device product.

Requirements

• Advanced technical expertise in AWS services and systems.
• Proficiency in Python and C++ for backend development and infrastructure support.
• Experience with Apache Kafka, ECS, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
• Strong background in database management, specifically with MySQL and MongoDB.
• Proven ability to write clean, testable code and maintain high standards through frameworks like PyTest, JUnit, or Jest.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach to managing multiple projects.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to maintaining patient data confidentiality.
• A growth mindset, characterized by resilience, curiosity, and the ability to learn from complex challenges.
• Fluency in English.
