We are looking for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our Core Infrastructure Engineering team at Phosphorus. As the leading xTended Security of Things™ platform, we specialize in securing the vast landscape of enterprise IoT, OT, and network devices, and this fully remote position is a great fit for someone who thrives on building reliable, automated cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and manage scalable cloud services within AWS and GCP.
• Write and maintain high-quality Go and Python code for our cloud services.
• Build and own efficient software deployment and automation pipelines.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code principles using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Oversee our custom RHEL-based OS platform and develop secure, reliable update mechanisms for field software.
• Manage release cycles to ensure maximum stability and performance.
• Maintain system security plans and ensure our infrastructure meets high standards for observability and compliance.
• Optimize cloud networking, including routing, load balancing, and firewall configurations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve DevOps tooling and service availability.

Must-haves

• Five to ten years of experience working with containerized environments like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong proficiency in Go or Python.
• Proven ability to provision infrastructure and virtual machines using Terraform, Packer, or Ansible.
• Hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure in AWS or GCP.
• Deep understanding of production release pipelines and asset management.
• Experience maintaining system security plans and familiarity with cloud security best practices.
• A track record of building high-availability clusters for virtualized or cloud-based appliances.
• Strong ownership, accountability, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills in English.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience managing custom DevOps tooling for engineering teams.
• Expertise in Linux networking and Bash scripting.
• Background in cryptography and secret management.
• Experience with Postgres database management and redundancy.
• Familiarity with maintaining application build systems using Makefiles.
• Experience with custom DEB or RPM packaging and OS package mirrors.
