Senior Cloud Engineer at Modulate

We are building ToxMod, the industry-leading voice moderation technology designed to proactively detect and prevent harassment, toxicity, and harm. Our platform supports hundreds of millions of users, ranging from massive AAA gaming titles like Call of Duty to expansive VR communities such as Rec Room. About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will work in a hybrid capacity to help us scale our platform and integrate with increasingly large communities. You will act as a key advisor, helping us navigate complex technical challenges and implement robust, transparent, and highly operable systems that keep our users safe.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and scale our AWS environment to ensure our moderation tools remain effective even in the largest online spaces.
• Create internal tooling that provides streamlined, secure access for our team members while maintaining high standards of system safety.
• Collaborate closely with our machine learning and real-time audio experts to transition research algorithms into stable, high-performance production systems.

Requirements

• Extensive experience working within a cloud service environment, with a strong preference for AWS.
• Deep proficiency in managing networking, data flow, and complex data pipelines, including work with queues and both relational and non-relational databases.
• Strong command of at least one programming language, familiarity with object-oriented programming, and a solid grasp of coding best-practice frameworks.
• Bonus: Demonstrated experience or familiarity with implementing DevOps practices.

This position is based in the United States.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is $150,000/yr. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a hybrid work arrangement to provide flexibility for our team members.
