Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer at Cloudary SAS

We are searching for a Senior Cloud & DevOps Engineer to join us as a contractor. You will lead our final transition from on-premise data centers to AWS and play a key role in architecting a modern, cloud-native infrastructure for our data and application stacks.

Responsibilities

• Execute the migration of our remaining systems to AWS while supporting high-level infrastructure needs.
• Design and implement a new data layer to replace our existing Aurora and OpenSearch clusters.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines within GitHub Actions to streamline deployments.
• Oversee infrastructure as code by writing and reviewing Terraform configurations.
• Provide expert support for AWS services including Lambda, Batch, SQS, and Step Functions.
• Manage observability and monitoring using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenSearch.
• Ensure robust security and compliance across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
• Troubleshoot production issues and maintain EKS clusters using ArgoCD for deployments.

Must-haves

• Extensive experience migrating complex workloads from physical data centers to AWS.
• Deep technical knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, Batch, SQS, Step Functions, and EKS.
• Advanced proficiency in Terraform, including the creation and maintenance of modules.
• Expertise in building CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Strong background in observability, specifically with OpenSearch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Proven ability to design and replace large-scale data layers.
• Solid programming skills in Python or similar languages.
• Comprehensive understanding of security compliance, including CIS benchmarks and SIEM solutions.
• Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves

• Over five years of professional experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering.
• A background working within fast-paced startup or scale-up environments.
• Familiarity with environment orchestration tools like Qovery.
