Senior Cloud Data Engineer at Shift4 Lithuania

Shift4 is a leader in commerce-enabling technology, and we are currently looking for a Senior Cloud Data Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis in Lithuania. We are redefining how businesses handle complex payment ecosystems by processing billions of transactions every year for hundreds of thousands of clients across various industries. As we continue to expand our global technical presence, we need a self-sufficient professional who is comfortable working in a hybrid environment and is ready to take our cloud data services to the next level.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within a high-velocity agile engineering team to design, build, and maintain robust features for our cloud data platform.
• Take ownership of technical architecture and platform modernization by resolving technical debt and setting high standards for our data systems.
• Act as a mentor for junior team members while working closely with product owners and stakeholders to translate business needs into reliable data solutions.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services, including Redshift, Glue, and Lambda.
• At least 4 years of experience working with ETL tools and source control systems like GitLab.
• Strong proficiency in data modeling, complex query development, and database management, with a preference for MS SQL Server and Redshift.
• Proven experience working within an agile development environment using tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
