We are currently looking for a Senior Cloud Architect to join our team in a full-time, hybrid capacity. Based in San Antonio, Texas, you will work with our consultancy as we support the Air Force Life Cycle Management and Unified Platform. This program is vital to the Department of Defense, as it provides the cloud-based infrastructure necessary for cyber operations across the Joint Cyber Warfighting Architecture. As a firm, we specialize in building cloud-native solutions for a wide range of clients, focusing on end-to-end application development, DevSecOps, and systems architecture. Please note that this position requires a Top Secret (SCI eligible) clearance.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Platform Product Line Manager and engineering leads to design, build, and maintain a robust DevSecOps platform using Infrastructure as Code.
- Ensure development processes remain consistent while providing direct support to customers as they build software through CI/CD pipelines.
- Facilitate the deployment of applications to hosted platforms while serving as a subject matter expert on infrastructure automation.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related IT field, paired with at least 7 to 10 years of experience on technical software or IT projects.
- Proven experience leading technical teams for at least 2 years and providing mentorship to junior staff for at least 3 years.
- Strong technical proficiency with Git, AWS, DevOps practices, and application containers, with at least 5 years of experience in these areas.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes, GitOps, IaaS/PaaS, and automated testing.
- Familiarity with modern programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, or TypeScript, as well as tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Helm.
- Ability to obtain or maintain DoD 8570/8140 IASAE Level II certification and CISSP status.
