The opportunity
As a Senior Clinical Informatics Engineer, you will be a cornerstone of our Data Engineering team. Your work is essential to our mission of providing a first-in-class clinico-genomics research dataset that allows our partners to conduct cutting-edge studies and derive operational insights. You will bridge the gap between complex clinical data and actionable research, working alongside our Research, Bioinformatics, and Engineering teams to maintain the infrastructure that powers these discoveries. Because we keep the patient at the center of everything we do, your contributions will have a direct, tangible effect on real-world health outcomes.
A day in the life
- You will serve as our internal subject matter expert, defining the standards and patterns for our OMOP clinical data warehouse.
- You will collaborate directly with our health system partners to establish and maintain robust EHR data pipelines.
- You will leverage your technical and clinical expertise to standardize, integrate, and analyze large-scale clinical datasets, ensuring the integrity and reliability of our research findings.
Who you are
You are a seasoned professional with at least 5 years of experience in healthcare information technology, such as working with health systems, payors, or government entities. You hold a Master’s degree or higher in Health Informatics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or a related scientific field. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and bring the following skills to the table:
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark.
- Proven experience building ETL pipelines using the OMOP Common Data Model.
- Deep knowledge of healthcare data exchange standards like FHIR and clinical coding systems such as ICD, CPT, LOINC, and SNOMED-CT.
- Hands-on experience with cloud environments like AWS or GCP and pipeline orchestration tools like Airflow.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex methodologies for both technical and clinical audiences.

The base salary for this position is 145,000 - 197,500 USD, and you will also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus of 10% of your salary, along with a generous equity package.
