Role at a glance
We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to join our team in Nigeria. This is a full-time, hybrid position designed for a seasoned professional who is ready to help us transition from traditional data warehousing to a modern, event-driven data mesh architecture. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our data strategy while working alongside cross-functional teams to deliver impactful insights.
Your impact
- Design and implement next-generation, event-driven data pipelines that cleanse and aggregate complex datasets within a globally distributed team.
- Enhance the stability, scalability, and efficiency of our existing data platforms while adhering to continuous delivery best practices.
- Mentor fellow team members and collaborate directly with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable, high-quality data solutions.
What you'll need
- At least 5 years of professional experience in business intelligence, data engineering, and advanced analytics.
- A minimum of 2 years of commercial experience building data pipelines with Apache Spark and Python.
- Proficiency with NoSQL databases, data lakes, and relational databases.
- Strong knowledge of data warehouse design, including star schemas and snowflake modeling.
- Experience with version control and continuous delivery workflows.
- Fluency in English and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to act as a detailed doer and creative problem-solver.
