Role at a glance
We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in Mexico. This is a senior-level position perfect for someone who thrives on building scalable systems from the ground up and is eager to mentor a talented group of engineers while driving our expansion into new markets.
Your impact
- Lead the planning, design, and development of elegant, high-performance solutions that power our payment processing infrastructure.
- Own the full software development lifecycle, from initial concept and architectural design to final deployment and maintenance.
- Bridge the gap between technical and business teams by translating complex requirements into actionable engineering plans while mentoring your colleagues.
What you'll need
- A degree in a quantitative field like Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 6 years of experience in backend development, with 3 or more years focused specifically on Python.
- Expertise in the AWS ecosystem, including services like Lambda, EKS, SQS, and API Gateway.
- Strong proficiency in infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Deep knowledge of SQL, REST API design, and modern security practices.
- Fluency in English and a proven ability to work within an Agile environment using continuous deployment tools.
