The opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to help shape the future of our platform. You will be a vital member of our engineering team, focusing on the design and implementation of robust backend systems. By leveraging your deep knowledge of Node.js, TypeScript, and GraphQL, you will build the features that power our user experience. This is a full-time, remote position, allowing you to contribute to our mission from anywhere.

A day in the life

• You will lead the development of complex backend systems and GraphQL APIs, ensuring our platform remains scalable and performant.
• You will partner with product managers and designers to translate creative concepts into functional, high-quality software.
• You will maintain our high engineering standards by writing clean, testable code and participating in collaborative code reviews with your peers.

Who you are

You are an experienced engineer with at least 5 years of success in product development. You have a proven ability to build software that scales, and you possess a strong grasp of the following:

• Expertise in Node.js and its core principles.
• Proficiency in TypeScript for large-scale application development.
• Hands-on experience with GraphQL and Apollo frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills in English to collaborate effectively across our cross-functional teams.
• A growth mindset that values data-driven decisions and prioritization.

Bonus points if you have experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud, and containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.
