What is this role?

We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a senior-level position where you will play a vital role in enhancing our current applications, specifically the Swile by Vee platform. You will be responsible for translating product visions into stable, high-performance software while mentoring others and driving technical excellence across our architecture.

What will you do?

• Develop high-quality, efficient, and well-documented code while actively improving the observability and monitoring of our systems.
• Collaborate on architectural decisions and provide technical guidance to team members to ensure our solutions are both scalable and simple.
• Lead complex projects from estimation to delivery, while proactively managing incidents and ensuring the stability of our production environments.

• Professional experience in Java or Kotlin.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems architecture and experience with technologies like Redis, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
• Proficiency in working with both relational and non-relational databases.
• Advanced or fluent proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in Portuguese.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Bonus points if you have experience with microservices, gRPC, or Protocol Buffers.
