Parade is the industry leader in capacity management tools for freight brokers and 3PLs, working to become the Bloomberg Terminal for the massive 800 billion dollar trucking sector. We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team and help us continue building a platform that has already earned recognition from FreightTech 100, Business Insider, and Inc. Magazine.
Responsibilities
- Manage the development of multiple projects, often handling several initiatives simultaneously.
- Architect features with a focus on high performance, robust security, and scalability.
- Operate within a fast-moving, collaborative, and tight-knit engineering environment.
- Partner closely with our sales and product management teams to iterate on our offerings quickly.
- Act as a key contributor and influencer as we continue to grow our company.
Must-haves
- At least 4 years of professional experience in software development.
- Strong proficiency working with SQL databases.
- Proven experience with backend development, ideally using Python.
- Expertise in building internal APIs and integrating external REST APIs.
- Fluency in English.
Nice-to-haves
- Deep familiarity with modern software engineering patterns and tooling.
- Practical experience with PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Redis, and PostGIS.
- A background in building and maintaining ETL pipelines.
- Experience designing and implementing microservice architectures.
