Senior Backend Software Engineer - Context & Data at Panther

What is this role?

We are hiring a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join the Context & Data Experience team on a full-time, remote basis. The position calls for senior-level experience and focuses on the backend systems that power data ingestion, enrichment, and environment context for Panther’s detection platform.

What will you do?

• Design and deliver backend services and APIs that handle data ingestion, enrichment, and environment-context workflows.
• Build end-to-end features across data pipelines and integrations while keeping reliability, scalability, and correctness front of mind.
• Partner with engineers and product managers to turn open-ended problems into shipped product and raise the overall quality bar through design reviews and technical leadership.

What makes you a great fit?

You bring strong production experience building backend services and APIs, and you are comfortable making clear trade-offs around latency, correctness, and reliability. You write production code confidently in both Go and Python. Security-domain exposure-especially with SOC workflows, alerting, logging, or detection engineering-is a plus but not required. Above all, you take full ownership of problems, collaborate smoothly across teams, and know when to simplify versus when to invest in deeper architecture. Because our teams are distributed, you communicate clearly in English.

What's in it for you?

The cash compensation range for this role is €87,000 – €100,000 (14-month salary structure). In addition to salary, we offer:
