We are currently seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. As one of our early engineering hires, you will have significant ownership over our technical stack and the opportunity to help shape the future of our product in a collaborative, service-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and scale our platform to manage terabytes of data ingested from diverse sources using tools like Python, Django, Celery, and Airflow.
- Build and maintain sophisticated backend features, including complex data sharing models, real-time data stream processing, and high-performance search query optimization.
- Collaborate closely with the broader team to translate product requirements into reliable, production-grade software components that directly serve our users in the field.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience working within cross-functional engineering teams.
- Proven ability to navigate large codebases and design robust, distributed systems.
- A track record of shipping and iterating on production-grade software, whether in a professional setting or through open-source contributions.
- Strong expertise in modern development practices, including CI/CD, AWS infrastructure, Terraform, Ansible, and database technologies such as PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and Neo4j.
- Excellent technical vision and the self-discipline to own projects from initial concept through to final deployment.
What we offer
The annual salary for this position ranges from $130,000 to $215,000. In addition to competitive compensation, we provide the following benefits:
