Role at a glance

We’re hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to join our 35-person development team on a full-time, on-site basis in Carlsbergbyen, Copenhagen. This senior-level role focuses on strengthening the core systems that power our trading platform.

Your impact

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs with Java Spring Boot that keep trading fast and reliable for thousands of users.
• Partner with frontend engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to turn new ideas into production features that expand what members can do on the platform.
• Continuously tune performance and scalability so the trading experience stays smooth even as volume and complexity grow.

What you'll need

You bring several years of hands-on backend experience and a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field-though proven impact in a similar role matters most. You’re fluent in Java Spring Boot, comfortable with core backend patterns, and open to relevant experience in Java or .NET. An entrepreneurial mindset, strong problem-solving instincts, and clear communication skills help you thrive in our fast-paced, agile setting. English fluency is essential; prior exposure to financial markets or trading platforms is a plus but not required.
