What you bring
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Customer Experience Platform team on a full-time basis. You will work remotely from Germany, Spain, or Romania, collaborating closely with product managers to deliver high-quality APIs and data services. Your role involves leveraging modern technologies like Python, FastAPI, Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes to build robust solutions. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Designing, building, and operating data-intensive backend services while contributing to architectural decisions.
- Taking ownership of software planning and design while engaging with the product team to deliver significant value to our customers.
- Supporting and mentoring fellow engineers while co-creating our long-term technical vision.
Requirements
The ideal candidate brings over 10 years of total professional experience, with at least 4 years specifically focused on backend development using Python web frameworks. You should possess a solid grasp of both relational and non-relational databases, such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch. We value a strong DevOps mindset and experience with microservices architecture and asynchronous communication via Kafka. You must be fluent in English and demonstrate excellent teamwork skills, including the ability to mentor others, communicate clearly, and engage in open, constructive debate. A background in making architectural trade-off analyses and a deep focus on automated testing and deployment will set you apart.
What we offer
We are committed to providing a supportive and flexible work environment that empowers you to do your best work. Our perks and benefits include:
- Remote work flexibility and a home office budget.
- Flexible working hours to help you balance your professional and personal life.
- Paid time off and six dedicated days for learning and development.
- Ongoing professional development, training, and coaching opportunities.
How to Apply
