What is this role?
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team in a full-time, on-site capacity within the United Kingdom. This is a senior-level position where you will play a critical role in shaping our core protocol and helping us expand the reach of our technology across the blockchain ecosystem.
What will you do?
- Design and develop our core protocol with a focus on high security, scalability, and cross-chain composability.
- Create and optimize interchain security models that function across a wide variety of environments, including Layer 1s, rollups, and app-chains.
- Build and maintain robust integrations with the most prominent blockchains and rollups in the industry.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should have at least 5 years of experience building and maintaining high-availability systems. We work primarily with Rust, Golang, TypeScript, and Python, so proficiency in these areas is a major plus. We are particularly interested in candidates who have a strong desire to learn Rust if they do not already use it daily.
Beyond your technical skills, you should be a self-starter who can operate independently even when faced with uncertainty. We value a strong sense of ownership and initiative. While we do not require you to be a blockchain expert, you should be crypto-curious. If you have experience working with non-EVM-based smart contract platforms, that is a significant bonus that will help you hit the ground running.
