What is this role?
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position open to candidates located anywhere. As a senior member of our engineering organization, you will play a vital role in shaping our technical direction and ensuring our systems remain robust as we scale.
What will you do?
- Take full ownership of major backend features and systems from the initial concept through to deployment.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code using Python and Go.
- Propose and implement architectural improvements that enhance the scalability, reliability, and observability of our infrastructure.
What makes you a great fit?
You should have 4 to 7 years of experience working on backend systems in production environments. We value engineers who think in terms of systems, considering factors like caching, failure modes, and scaling strategies rather than just individual endpoints. You are comfortable working with our tech stack, which includes Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, and Prometheus. You should be fluent in English and possess the ability to provide clear, empathetic code reviews that help elevate the entire team. We are looking for self-starters who thrive in an environment where they can drive projects independently.
