Role at a glance

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a senior-level position open to candidates located in the US and Canada. You will play a pivotal role in evolving our distributed systems and ensuring our technology continues to support our mission of helping people wake up stronger.

Your impact

• Maintain and scale our data processing pipeline, which handles 5Tb of data every day.
• Develop robust tools to guarantee the availability of our 30+ microservices and automate their ongoing operations.
• Contribute directly to the development of core back-end services and new product features that reach hundreds of thousands of users.

What you'll need

• At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience, including 5+ years specifically in backend engineering or SRE roles.
• Language polyglot skills with advanced proficiency in at least two of the following: Java (Scala or Kotlin), C# (.NET Core), Python, or NodeJS with TypeScript.
• Proven experience designing and supporting complex distributed systems.
• A deep, practical understanding of cloud services and how they power modern infrastructure.
• Fluency in English and a drive to solve problems by digging into the underlying technology.
