At NuvoAir, we are dedicated to transforming the healthcare experience for patients managing complex conditions like COPD and congestive heart failure. By integrating our clinical expertise with advanced technology, we provide personalized care that keeps patients out of the hospital and improves their quality of life, and we are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help us scale this mission-driven platform.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with client-facing teams to design and implement new product features.
Maintain, optimize, and enhance the security of our core backend infrastructure.
Scale our systems to support a rapidly growing global user base.
Ensure the overall quality and efficiency of our backend services.

Must-haves

At least 7 years of professional experience in backend development.
Strong proficiency in Java or Kotlin.
Extensive experience with ORM tools like Hibernate or Django and relational database systems.
Deep knowledge of the Spring Framework.
Proven track record of deploying and supporting high-traffic applications in a production environment.
Hands-on experience with Docker.
Ability to work from our Boston office on Kingston Street 2 to 3 days per week.

Nice-to-haves

Practical experience with DevOps practices.
Background working within Cloud environments, such as Azure.
Familiarity with Domain Driven Design principles.
Experience with web or JavaScript development.
