We are Coefficient, a VC-backed SaaS startup based in the San Francisco Bay Area, and we are on a mission to unlock the full potential of spreadsheets for business data. Our team is composed of curious, driven, and collaborative individuals working to build a no-code solution that lets business teams connect, automate, and analyze their data directly within the spreadsheets they already use.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with our founders to define the product vision and design our core backend architecture.
- Build resilient and scalable systems from the ground up.
- Develop high-throughput data pipelines designed to support interactive, real-time use cases.
- Maintain a high standard for code quality by implementing clean abstractions and effective development processes.
- Collaborate effectively within our distributed team by maintaining clear documentation and communication.
- Take ownership of complex features and deliver them with minimal direction.
Must-haves
- At least 7 years of professional experience in designing and building complex backend systems.
- Extensive proficiency in Python.
- Production experience working with data stores including PostgreSQL, Redis, and Cassandra.
- Proven experience deploying applications and services within a cloud environment.
- Strong communication skills in English, with a focus on clear written documentation.
- Ability to work in a hybrid capacity from our office in Bangalore three days per week.
