The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis in a hybrid capacity. In this role, you will be a core contributor to our engineering efforts, helping us scale our infrastructure and refine the systems that power our platform. You will work closely with our product team to build robust features that directly impact our users, ensuring that our technology remains fast, reliable, and innovative as we continue to grow.

A day in the life

• You will collaborate with our product team to architect and build new features that enhance our platform.
• You will analyze and optimize our existing codebase using modern development practices to ensure maximum speed and stability.
• You will take ownership of quality by writing comprehensive test suites that keep our systems secure and reliable as we deploy to production frequently.

Who you are

You are a seasoned engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a deep understanding of backend development. To be successful in this role, you should have:

• At least 4 years of professional experience building backend applications with modern web frameworks, specifically Python with Django or Node.js.
• A strong background in analyzing code performance to find and implement optimization opportunities.
• Proven experience writing both unit and integration tests to maintain high code quality.
• Proficiency working with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as MySQL, Redis, DynamoDB, and Redshift.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.

We also value experience with Apache Airflow, data pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, AWS, and React, though these are considered a plus rather than a requirement.
