About the Role
We are searching for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Data Team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for our backend architecture and the systems that handle data ingestion, processing, and storage. You will work alongside cross-functional partners to design and maintain the infrastructure that powers our research solutions, directly impacting the success of our customers as they build customer-centric products.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and optimize features for our event-based targeting systems to provide deep customer insights.
- Provide technical leadership on major projects, guiding your colleagues through critical decisions and ensuring we follow industry best practices.
- Manage and maintain databases to drive data integrity and security, ensuring our platform remains reliable and trustworthy for our clients.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a specific focus on backend systems, data infrastructure, or distributed computing.
- Proficiency in writing high-quality production code using Node.js or Golang.
- Familiarity with technologies such as Redis, Kubernetes, and Postgres.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with a collaborative spirit and a desire to learn quickly.
- Experience working with low-latency, high-volume data stores is considered a significant advantage.
Location
This position is based in the United States and follows a hybrid work model, requiring you to be in our San Francisco office 3 days per week.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $180,000 to $210,000 per year. In addition to base pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
