Senior Backend Engineer at Tesorio

What is this role?

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position open to candidates located anywhere in Latin America. As a senior member of our engineering organization, you will play a vital role in building the infrastructure that keeps our customers' financial operations running smoothly. You will be part of a fast-paced environment where you can make a tangible impact on a product that is already loved by finance teams worldwide.

What will you do?

• Develop and ship high-quality backend code for our core product features.
• Collaborate closely with our frontend and product teams to ensure every feature delivers a first-class experience for our users.
• Solve a diverse range of technical challenges across our stack and contribute to all areas of our codebase on a daily basis.

What makes you a great fit?

To succeed in this role, you should have at least 7 years of professional experience and a deep understanding of software engineering principles. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working as an individual contributor and who values high-quality output. Your background should include:

• Extensive experience with Python and Django in a SaaS environment.
• Expertise in working with various web tech stacks, including libraries, frameworks, and testing methodologies.
• Strong proficiency with backend MVC frameworks.
• A resourceful and agile mindset, with the ability to remain positive and empathetic when solving complex problems.
• Fluency in English to communicate effectively with our diverse, international team.

Bonus points if you have experience in the fintech sector or a background in troubleshooting and optimizing database performance.
