About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will focus on building and maintaining microservices using Golang. You will work alongside our product team to develop secure, high-quality features that improve the experience for our global user base. You will also play a vital role in maintaining the reliability of our systems as we continue to scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and maintain high-quality backend code using Golang to support our microservices architecture.
- Collaborate on architectural improvements to ensure our systems remain scalable and reliable under high-traffic conditions.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to monitor system health, triage alerts, and lead root-cause analysis efforts when incidents occur.
Requirements
- A university degree in a relevant field of study.
- Proven experience working within high-traffic, distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in Golang, cloud infrastructure, and messaging systems.
- The ability to produce clear architectural documentation.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Bonus points for hands-on experience with Kafka, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Elasticsearch, as well as a background in remote or startup environments.
Location
This position is fully remote and can be performed from anywhere.
