Senior Backend Engineer at AICrete

At AICrete we are the first company to bring artificial intelligence into the concrete materials sector, and we are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who wants to help us scale AICreteOS, our real-time platform that combines machine learning, computer vision, and automation to make concrete production more profitable, sustainable, and efficient.

What you bring

We need a Senior Backend Engineer to join us full-time in a hybrid capacity. In this role you will design and develop robust backend services with Django and Python, collaborate closely with our frontend developers to keep the entire AICreteOS experience seamless, and build efficient, reusable code that powers high-performance applications. You will also manage hosting environments, administer databases, and scale services to handle changing loads while implementing strong security and data-protection measures. The position is open to candidates located anywhere.

• Design and develop robust backend services using Django and other Python frameworks.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration and a cohesive user experience.
• Build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code while ensuring top performance, quality, and responsiveness.

Requirements

You bring at least four years of proven backend development experience, with deep expertise in Django and Python. You are comfortable creating and integrating RESTful APIs, working with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases, and using Git for version control. Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to write clean, maintainable code are essential. A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, along with any relevant professional certifications, is welcomed. Familiarity with AWS, basic front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and an understanding of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes are valuable assets. We especially appreciate candidates who show curiosity about the concrete and materials industry and who thrive in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
