What is this role?
We are searching for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing technology innovation team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position available to candidates located anywhere. You will be part of a small, agile group focused on building the next generation of technologies to improve user experiences, enhance automation, and reduce cyber risks. We offer a high level of autonomy, allowing you to make a direct impact on our service direction and technical architecture within a fast-paced and professional environment.
What will you do?
- Design and develop cutting-edge features while working with the latest APIs and integrating third-party solutions.
- Manage complex data processing tasks and write efficient database queries.
- Take ownership of solving production problems and addressing technical incidents as they arise.

To succeed in this role, you should have at least four years of professional development experience and a deep passion for building high-quality, performant code. We value candidates who are self-motivated, quick learners, and excellent communicators who can thrive both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Your technical background should include:
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
- Extensive experience with databases including Postgres, OpenSearch, and Redis.
- A solid understanding of micro-services architecture and cloud environments, specifically Azure.
- Practical knowledge of DevOps practices and experience working with Linux servers, particularly Ubuntu.
- Fluency in English.
Bonus points if you have experience with NodeJS Workers, Pulumi, Azure DevOps, C++, Qt, K6, or Bash.
