We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. At Frontify, we empower thousands of brand builders worldwide, including major names like Lufthansa, Vodafone, and Uber, by providing a platform where brands can truly thrive. With over 300 employees across offices in St. Gallen, London, and New York City, we pride ourselves on a culture built on transparency, trust, and experimentation. As a member of our Backend Platform team, you will play a vital role in building the essential services and foundations that enable our product teams to succeed.

Responsibilities

Develop, modernize, and scale backend services to ensure they remain reliable, secure, and performant for the entire organization.
Serve as a key contributor within a collaborative engineering team, providing the tools and infrastructure necessary for product development.
Take full ownership of your work, whether you are refactoring legacy code or designing and implementing new features from the ground up.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience in scaling and maintaining large software solutions.
Strong proficiency in PHP8+ and TypeScript, with practical experience using GraphQL, REST, MySQL, Docker, and AWS.
Expertise in modern development practices, including continuous delivery, test automation, observability, and static code analysis.
Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
