We are currently looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join us in this mission, helping us scale our infrastructure and deliver high-impact features to our community.
What you'll be doing
- Design and develop robust backend systems that support our core features, including fantasy contests, real-time game interactions, and user profile management.
- Build and maintain scalable, secure APIs and services while optimizing system performance through rigorous monitoring and profiling.
- Collaborate closely with our product, design, and frontend teams to take features from the initial concept all the way to production.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 5 years of experience in backend engineering, preferably with consumer-facing applications that operate at scale. You are comfortable working with modern languages such as Python, Go, or Node.js and have a strong grasp of API design and distributed systems. Your background includes working with both relational and NoSQL databases, as well as cloud platforms. We value your ability to debug complex issues and your talent for solving performance bottlenecks. Proficiency in English is required, and a genuine interest in sports or fantasy gaming is a major plus.
