Role at a glance
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a senior-level position based on-site in France. You will be part of a growing engineering organization that is scaling to support over 16,000 merchants and 12 million shoppers globally.
Your impact
- Design robust features, APIs, and data models that power our platform for a massive global user base.
- Collaborate autonomously within a team of over 100 engineers to ship production-ready code while monitoring performance and system success.
- Solve complex technical challenges related to scale, ensuring our infrastructure remains reliable as data traffic continues to increase.
What you'll need
To succeed in this role, you should be a pragmatic problem solver who thinks in terms of systems and architecture. We value clean, testable code and a commitment to high-quality software development.
- Experience: At least 6 years of professional experience in software development with a strong focus on backend engineering.
- Languages: Proficiency in Python or Java.
- Technical Skills: Experience with Kafka, Pub/Sub, and modern API design principles.
- Mindset: A collaborative spirit, excellent communication skills, and the ability to take full ownership of your work from development through to production.
- Language: Fluency in English.
