We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our remote-first team and help us advance the future of decentralized applications.

What you bring

In this full-time role, you will leverage your expertise in distributed systems and blockchain technology to support our core infrastructure. You will work from anywhere in the world, collaborating with a global team to push the boundaries of what is possible in the blockchain space. Your primary responsibilities will include the following:

• Facilitating the development of smart contracts by building necessary abstractions, orchestrations, and integrations.
• Developing and maintaining various plugins to enhance our existing systems.
• Leading research and development initiatives for new blockchain implementations.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who possesses strong programming skills, specifically in Go or a similar general-purpose language. You should have a deep understanding of distributed systems and experience managing backend services for large-scale applications with many concurrent users. We value individuals who have experience leading open-source projects and who can communicate effectively across diverse teams. A solid grasp of infrastructure concepts is essential, as you will be expected to participate in high-level technical discussions and contribute to critical architectural decisions. While not strictly required, experience with the Cosmos ecosystem, including the Cosmos SDK, IBC, and Tendermint, will set you apart. Proficiency in cryptographic principles and a background in smart contract development are also highly regarded.
