What you bring

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and maintaining the robust systems that keep our platform running during high-traffic events. This is a full-time, hybrid position available to candidates anywhere. You will focus on backend development, utilizing your expertise in languages like C++, Go, Java, Python, or Scala to solve complex engineering challenges. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Designing and building modular, scalable systems that maintain high availability and low latency.
• Developing and operating the infrastructure, toolsets, and deployment pipelines necessary for our services.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product and design, to deliver a seamless, real-time user experience.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who possesses a solid foundation in computer science and a track record of building performant distributed systems. You should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and have at least five years of professional engineering experience with a strong focus on backend development. Success in this role requires deep knowledge of database systems and API design, alongside the ability to write clean, maintainable code. While not required, we would love to see experience with video streaming or machine learning systems. Fluency in English is essential for effective collaboration within our team.
