Role at a glance

This is a full-time, on-site position based in either Valencia or Rotterdam. As a senior member of our engineering team, you will focus on high-level architecture, microservices, and API design while mentoring others to drive technical excellence across our global systems.

Your impact

• Architect our API-first future by designing and maintaining a robust, high-performance API layer that serves as the core of our headless platform.
• Lead system modernization by decoupling our frontend from the backend and creating a clean, efficient architecture that avoids unnecessary complexity.
• Mentor and guide your fellow developers, sharing your expertise in performance, best practices, and modern development standards.

What you'll need

We are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset. You should be fluent in English and possess the following qualifications:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in backend development with a focus on PHP, specifically PHP8.
• Deep familiarity with frameworks like Symfony or Laravel.
• Proven experience designing scalable RESTful or GraphQL APIs within a headless system.
• Strong proficiency with MySQL for database design and query optimization.
• Experience working with Git and agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
• An enthusiasm for AI-accelerated development and a desire to use modern tools to maximize output.
• Bonus points for experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or high-traffic ecommerce environments.
