Our team is the force behind TruffleHog, an open-source tool used globally by security researchers to identify and disclose leaked API keys. Since our founding in 2021, we have remained deeply committed to the open-source community and to building innovative products for machine identity protection. We are looking for a talented Senior Backend Engineer to join our fully remote, collaborative team and help us prevent credential leaks while advancing the field of cybersecurity.

What you'll be doing

Build and maintain backend components using Go to enhance our core product features.
Manage communication between services by working extensively with gRPC clients and servers.
Design, implement, and integrate complex APIs to support our growing infrastructure and scanner capabilities.

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in backend development and a passion for building high-quality software. We are looking for someone who brings the following:

Extensive professional experience with Go, gRPC, and Kubernetes.
A deep understanding of API design and backend architecture.
Fluency in English to collaborate effectively with our global, remote team.
A proactive mindset focused on ownership, testing, and delivering production-ready code.
