The role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join us on a full-time basis in a hybrid capacity. This senior-level position centers on shaping the technical foundation of our web platform and advancing how customers interact with their data through robust, scalable services.

Core responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to translate project requirements into reliable technical solutions and delivery timelines.
• Build, test, and maintain features that enhance users' ability to explore and interpret their data, while also developing integrations with third-party applications and embedding machine learning services through internal and external APIs.
• Monitor production systems for errors and performance issues, then implement lasting improvements that prevent recurrence and strengthen overall reliability.

Skills and experience

Candidates should bring at least four years of hands-on experience designing and operating production systems in Python, along with deep familiarity using Django, FastAPI, or Flask. Proficiency across common web API patterns such as REST, GraphQL, and WebSocket is essential. Experience deploying containerized services with Docker and Kubernetes on major cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP is required, as is working knowledge of data warehousing technologies such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Databricks and relational databases such as Postgres or MySQL. We value self-direction, a drive to create high-quality platforms, and genuine interest in the latest developments in generative AI and natural language processing. All work is conducted in English.
