Senior Backend Engineer at Insurify

Role at a glance

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role based in Bulgaria, where you will play a key part in scaling our platform and refining our core infrastructure.

Your impact

• Collaborate closely with our product team to architect and build innovative new features.
• Enhance the speed and reliability of our platform by optimizing existing features with modern development practices.
• Strengthen our codebase by writing comprehensive unit and integration test suites.

What you'll need

To be successful in this role, you should bring the following skills and experience:

• At least 4 years of experience developing backend applications with modern web frameworks like Python, Django, or Node.js.
• A strong ability to analyze code performance and pinpoint opportunities for optimization.
• Proficiency in writing robust unit and integration tests.
• Hands-on experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Bonus points if you have experience with AWS, infrastructure as code, data pipelines, Apache Airflow, or frontend development using React.
