Senior Backend Engineer at Panther Labs

The role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Ingestion team. This is a contractor position that offers a six-month engagement, with the potential to transition into a full-time role. You will be instrumental in designing and maintaining the core of our data ingestion capabilities, working within a modern cloud environment to ensure our platform remains seamless and scalable for our global customers.

Core responsibilities

• Develop and implement new customer-facing product features that provide security teams with powerful tools.
• Maintain high code quality by performing hands-on development, resolving bugs, and offering constructive feedback during code reviews.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers within a core product team to drive technical initiatives.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in backend development and a passion for building scalable systems. We require the following qualifications:

• At least 5 years of professional experience as a software engineer.
• Proven ability to write production-level code in Golang.
• Experience building cloud-native applications, ideally within AWS.
• A history of working on highly scalable systems and frameworks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams, including frontend engineers and product managers.
• Fluency in English to facilitate clear collaboration in our remote environment.
