WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to join our platform team and play a critical role in building a scalable and reliable system architecture. Our platform team is central to empowering other engineering teams by creating tools, standardizing solutions, and implementing compliance processes in an agile environment.

As a Platform Engineer, you’ll focus on building core libraries, tooling, and software solutions that enable cross-functional teams to move quickly and efficiently. While we rely on self-service cloud infrastructure, this role involves minimal DevOps work and primarily focuses on coding reusable solutions.

YOUR MISSION:

• Collaborate with the team to define and implement the vision for a scalable system architecture that supports our growing portfolio and customer base.
• Build and maintain tools, libraries, and observability solutions to empower other engineering teams in shipping features and achieving KPIs.
• Explore and propose new technologies to streamline processes and improve system efficiency.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that promotes best practices and enables others.
• Create reusable solutions that help teams scale faster and avoid one-off workarounds.
• Provide support to our Information Security team during audits.
• Champion engineering best practices and help elevate our tech stack to the next level, setting standards for the organization.
• Implement platform solutions and processes (e.g., load testing, database backup restoration automation, authorization, anonymization, etc.) and document them for internal usage.

ABOUT YOU:  

• Experience: 5+ years of backend development experience, working on complex systems and platform solutions.
• Platform Expertise: Proven experience building platform tooling, libraries, solutions, and processes that support multiple engineering teams.
• Collaboration: Strong communicator, able to work across teams and translate technical vision into actionable plans.
• Ruby on Rails: Solid experience with Ruby on Rails and a deep understanding of how to develop high-quality, reliable software.
• Problem-Solving: You can break down complex problems into manageable parts and communicate solutions clearly to your team and other stakeholders.
• Quality-Driven: Commitment to delivering solutions that are well-tested, reliable, and maintainable.
• Proven experience in fintech environments or startups is a plus.
