Within our group, the Tillhub team is focused on revolutionizing business operations through smart, all-in-one POS systems that empower small to medium-sized enterprises. We are currently looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team in Germany on a full-time, hybrid basis to help us elevate our service quality and drive technical excellence.
Key outcomes
- Design and test robust applications using TypeScript and Node.js within a microservice architecture.
- Manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, utilizing Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Utilize Terraform or Pulumi for infrastructure as code while maintaining PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases.
- Maintain high system performance and health by implementing monitoring solutions through Datadog.
- Streamline development pipelines using CI/CD tools such as CircleCI, Github Actions, and ArgoCD.
- Provide mentorship to fellow engineers and work alongside cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality technical solutions.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional experience in application design and testing.
- Strong technical proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and microservice-based systems.
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects, ideally within the fintech or payments sectors.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to various stakeholders.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
- A valid work permit for Germany, as we are unable to provide visa or relocation sponsorship for this role.
