We are currently seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our SP Success team and help us empower our users to build thriving businesses.
Key outcomes
- Develop a deep understanding of how our architecture and infrastructure integrate to support our broader business objectives.
- Design and implement reliable, scalable APIs and developer experiences.
- Write and maintain scalable services using Node.js, Express.js, Mongo, GraphQL, and AWS Lambda.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, QA analysts, and fellow engineers in a supportive environment.
- Address complex technical challenges within a platform that serves hundreds of thousands of users.
- Enhance our internal planning, development, and deployment workflows.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to engineers across various levels of experience.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in developing and deploying web applications with a proven history of shipping products to market.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience navigating complex technical issues that require an in-depth understanding of existing architecture.
- Ability to debug production issues across multiple layers of the stack.
- A proactive mindset focused on taking ownership and driving projects toward tangible business impact.
- Proven experience building complex web systems.
- Familiarity with Javascript type systems.
- Comfort working within an agile, collaborative environment.
Compensation
The base salary for this position ranges from $140,000 to $200,000 USD, depending on your geographic location, experience, and qualifications. In addition to salary, we offer commuter benefits and support for remote work to ensure our team members are well-equipped and supported.
