Jimdo is an AI-powered platform dedicated to helping solopreneurs and micro-businesses succeed by removing the complexity of building an online presence. Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize robust API services with a focus on scalability and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure backend solutions integrate seamlessly across our platform.
Maintain high engineering standards through rigorous code reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices.
Proactively diagnose and resolve system issues to minimize downtime.
Stay current with emerging industry trends and backend technologies.
Provide technical insights to stakeholders to ensure the feasibility and timely delivery of project goals.

Must-haves

At least 5 years of professional experience in backend development.
Strong proficiency in Kotlin, with additional experience in Java.
Hands-on expertise with REST APIs, microservices architecture, and major cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Practical experience with Agentic Coding practices and utilizing AI agents for feature delivery.
Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and general backend best practices.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves

Familiarity with frontend technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or React.
Background in building IAM (Identity and Access Management) solutions.
