Role at a glance

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is based in our new office in the heart of Athens and follows a hybrid work model. You will be instrumental in building our local presence while collaborating closely with our established engineering teams in Germany to develop innovative, end-to-end solutions for our customers and agents.

Your impact

• Take full end-to-end ownership of the application lifecycle, including architecture, design, development, deployment, and operation.
• Define and manage your own pipelines while orchestrating resources for maximum efficiency.
• Write clean, reusable, and highly testable code while implementing industry-leading security and data protection practices.

What you'll need

We are looking for someone who is proactive, self-organized, and eager to take ownership of their work. You should have a strong background in computer science or a related technical field, along with the following qualifications:

• Profound experience developing clean, maintainable code using Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• Solid understanding of relational database design and SQL, with a preference for PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with modern cloud-based backend architectures, Git, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• A collaborative spirit and the ability to engage in technical discussions with a diverse team of engineers, designers, and product managers.
• Fluency in English to communicate effectively within our international environment.
