About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer II to join our Billing team on a full-time, on-site basis. This role is essential to our growth, as you will take ownership of the systems that manage our high-scale billing data. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure our infrastructure remains accurate, efficient, and scalable as we continue to launch new products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain resilient, high-volume systems while collaborating with fellow engineers to ensure technical excellence.
• Take full ownership of projects from the initial concept phase through to production, ensuring the highest quality standards.
• Partner with Product Managers to define feature scopes and guide technical trade-offs that align with our broader company objectives.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in developing and maintaining production-grade systems.
• A minimum of 2 years of deep, hands-on experience with Python.
• A proven track record of leading technical projects through the entire software development life cycle.
• Strong familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, observability, and automated testing.
• Proficiency in storage solutions such as MySQL, along with experience using AWS or other public cloud platforms.
• A proactive mindset and a passion for delivering technical solutions that provide immediate business impact.
