What is this role?

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a senior-level position where you will report directly to our Chief Product Officer. You will play a critical role in our engineering organization, focusing on the design and development of web applications and API services that leverage large language models. This role is available as a hybrid position for candidates located in the United States.

What will you do?

• Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable API services that power our core applications.
• Write clean, efficient code while collaborating with front-end developers to seamlessly integrate server-side logic with user-facing features.
• Optimize our applications for maximum performance and reliability while implementing effective data storage and caching solutions.

What makes you a great fit?

To be successful in this role, you should have at least 4 years of hands-on experience in backend API development. You are comfortable working in an English-speaking environment and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. We are looking for someone who brings the following qualifications:

• A degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Deep proficiency in Node.js and web frameworks like Express.js.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms, along with Redis or similar caching technologies.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and modern JavaScript frameworks like Vue.js or Angular is considered a significant plus.
• The ability to manage multiple projects independently while maintaining a high standard of code quality.
