Senior Backend Developer at Appfollow

AppFollow is a leading platform dedicated to app review management and App Store Optimization. We simplify the daily workflows of developers, product managers, and marketing teams by helping them gather data, improve app ratings, and boost user loyalty on a global scale. We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our Core team in a fully remote capacity to help us build and scale the technologies that drive business growth for companies worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize core product features to analyze and manage app reviews and ratings at scale.
• Automate workflows for user interactions, such as tagging and responding to customer reviews.
• Maintain and improve reporting and dashboard systems for review analysis.
• Contribute to our AI-driven technologies, including semantic analysis and summarization tools.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code while maintaining existing services in Python and Perl.
• Collaborate on system architecture design to ensure our platform remains secure and scalable.
• Participate in testing, debugging, and the deployment process to maintain high quality standards.

Must-haves

• At least 4 years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with asyncio in Python.
• Proficiency in FastAPI or similar frameworks for building API endpoints.
• Strong SQL skills, with a focus on MySQL and familiarity with PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with ORM tools, preferably SQLAlchemy.
• Experience working with message brokers like RabbitMQ.
• Ability to write unit tests using Pytest.
• Upper-intermediate proficiency in both English and Russian.

Nice-to-haves

• Professional experience working with Perl.
• Background in Data Science or Machine Learning projects.
