The role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Core Engineer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This is a senior-level position for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to take ownership of critical infrastructure. You will be responsible for the core systems that power our distributed AI data platform, ensuring that our massively multi-tenant architecture remains scalable, available, and performant as we continue to grow.

Core responsibilities

• Design and manage a cloud-native, fully managed data plane that serves as the foundation for our real-time distributed platform.
• Develop robust solutions that empower enterprises to integrate multi-modal data at scale.
• Maintain high standards of engineering excellence by implementing automated CI/CD workflows, rigorous testing protocols, and performance optimization strategies.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should bring a strong background in building distributed systems and a passion for operational excellence. We require the following qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in software development, specifically with mission-critical distributed services.
• Deep proficiency in Python or Rust.
• Extensive experience with AWS, particularly regarding serverless architectures like Lambda, API Gateway, and Cognito.
• Practical knowledge of NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB.
• A proven track record in project planning, clear communication, and delivering high-quality code.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Bonus points if you have experience in startup environments, familiarity with Apache Iceberg, or background in AI agent integrations.
