What is this role?

We are looking for a Senior Back End Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role based in the United Kingdom. In this position, you will help develop our Bookings and Payments platform, with a specific focus on customer accounts, identity management, and data classification.

What will you do?

• Design, implement, and maintain software components, including writing unit and integration tests and creating thorough documentation.
• Develop and evolve REST and SOAP APIs, specifically focusing on customer management and identity management systems.
• Mentor junior team members on best practices for writing clean, scalable, and secure code while promoting modular Spring applications.

What makes you a great fit?

You should have at least five years of hands-on experience and a degree in a relevant field. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter and comfortable working with ambiguity. Your technical background should include:

• Strong proficiency in Java 11+, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• Experience with both relational and non-relational databases, including MySQL and NoSQL.
• Expertise in AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes within a microservices architecture.
• Deep knowledge of authentication protocols such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and Single Sign-On.
• A collaborative mindset with experience working in Agile Scrum environments using Git.
