Key outcomes
- Serve as a core contributor within our FinTech squad.
- Lead the implementation of scalable, cross-border payment solutions.
- Design and develop robust micro-services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Provide technical guidance to engineering teams to ensure optimal implementation strategies.
- Maintain high standards for code quality, testing coverage, and architectural design.
- Mentor and support the growth of other back-end developers while contributing to our hiring efforts.
- Manage the full development lifecycle, from initial design through to production deployment.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software development experience, including 2 years in a senior capacity.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working on FinTech products or financial software.
- Proven experience designing and launching payment solutions within a SaaS environment.
- Expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong proficiency in API design and micro-services architecture.
- Hands-on experience with data storage, streaming, and caching technologies, such as SQL, NoSQL, Redis, and Kafka.
- A commitment to TDD, security by design, and writing clean, maintainable code.
- Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to document technical architectures clearly.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-cultural startup environment.
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience working with major payment platforms like Stripe, Adyen, Airwallex, or Payoneer.
- Proficiency in a secondary technology stack, such as Python or Node.
- Experience in conducting technical interviews and identifying top engineering talent.
